Martellus Bennett appears ready to jump in and contribute in his second stint with the Patriots.

According to Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal and others at Gillette Stadium on Friday, the tight end was at practice prior to the team taking off and heading to Denver as they gear up for their Sunday Night Football contest with the Broncos. Bennett was claimed by the Patriots on Thursday after the Green Bay Packers waived him earlier this week.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported Friday morning that Green Bay released the tight end because of a torn rotator cuff and didn't practice for the past two weeks. That said, the fact that he's at practice does indicate that he's passed his physical. Bennett also has a history of playing through injuries as he did so last year with the Patriots.
