Marshawn Lynch is close to returning to football.

During his visit with the Raiders on Wednesday, Lynch told the team that he intends to un-retire and play football again, sources told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The power back met with Raiders coach Jack Del Rio at the team's facility to discuss a return to the gridiron. However, the 30-year-old's contract is still held by the Seahawks, which means Seattle would have to release Lynch or the Raiders would have to trade for him in order for Oakland to acquire his rights.

According to Rapoport, Wednesday's meeting was cleared by the Seahawks.
