After his third arrest in a span of 16 months, Marshall has dismissed junior running back Kevin Grooms.

Per a report from the Charleston Daily Mail citing jail records, Grooms was arrested Saturday and charged with burglary, domestic assault by threat, petit larceny and fleeing by foot. The burglary charge is a felony.

Marshall issued a statement Saturday saying Grooms had been dismissed for a "violation of team rules and policies" and would have no further comment.

Grooms was also arrested in April 2013 on misdemeanor charges of underage consumption and obstruction, and again in November of last year on misdemeanor domestic battery and obstruction charges. That arrest led to an indefinite suspension that held Grooms out of the Thundering Herd's Conference USA championship game loss to Rice and Military Bow lvictory over Rice.
