Marquis Daniels, Nate Robinson await next shot

"Marquis Daniels and Nate Robinson were among those getting up extra shots at the Celtics practice facility yesterday. For now, it's where they will get the lion's share of their action.

Both were DNPs by coach's decision in Sunday's win against Cleveland, the only two Celts who didn't get off the pine. Doc Rivers confirmed yesterday that both are on the outside of the Celtics rotation, looking in at Tony Allen and Michael Finley as the team gets its plan for the playoffs in order.

"Right now they are, but that doesn't mean they won't be back in it," Rivers said.

"They'll have their day, too. They'll play in the playoffs. There'll be games when you're going to need them. That's how this team is built. We'll use who we need to use in that given game to win that game."

Daniels and Robinson are wise to keep shooting. Beyond the starters, Rivers' rotation never has been chiseled in stone. Most notable was the case of Eddie House, who was banished to the end of the bench in 2008 only to come back into the mix and play a major role."
