The Miami Marlins will wear reproductions of uniforms from the 1956 Miami Marlins for Saturday's game at Miller Park against the Milwaukee Brewers, who are hosting a Negro Leagues Tribute.

The 1956 Miami Marlins, who played their home games at Miami Stadium, were
a Triple-A team in the International League. The Marlins' uniforms on Saturday will feature a patch with the No. 29, the number worn by Hall of Fame pitcher Satchel Paige during his three-year stint (1956-58) with the Marlins near the end of his career.

The Brewers will wear reproductions of uniforms worn by the 1923 Milwaukee Bears from the Negro National League.

Paige was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971, becoming the first player to be inducted based upon his Negro League career. He played in the Negro Leagues from 1926-1947, including nine seasons with the Kansas City Monarchs, leading the Monarchs to the Negro League World Series championship in 1942.
