Miami Marlins Manager Ozzie Guillen before Sunday's series finale against the Giants gave Heath Bell another endorsement.

Bell despite being unable to finish back-to-back ninth innings in which he entered with three-run leads will remain the Marlins' closer.

"It's easy to criticize," Guillen said.

"It's easy to bury somebody when he's down. My job and my coaching staff's job is to continue to believe in him. He's not hurt. He's still throwing pretty good. I wish he threw more strikes. I will bite the bullets, from the fans, from the front office, from anybody. That's what I'm here for, to bite the bullets for my players.
