It seems like the Miami Marlins are hunting for someone who can hold down the hot corner as they’ve contacted several teams about possible trades that involved guys who could play third base. Maybe they won’t have to trade after all.

One guy they were possibly interested in was Angels Mark Trumbo. Who would make sense as he has a lot of power behind that bat and is a decent fielder. But with his lack of experience at third base, that could possibly become an issue.

Now according to the Miami Herald, the Miami Marlins are interested in signing free agent infielder Yuniesky Betancourt. The 31 year old right handed hitter hasn’t had that much experience manning the hot corner, but he has more than Trumbo.
