Josh Johnson admits he hasn't seen enough of new teammate Mark Buehrle in action to fully appreciate why he claimed three consecutive American League Gold Glove awards.

Not that Johnson has to survey a longer highlight reel before offering a definitive evaluation of Buehrle's glovework.

"That's all I need to see is the one play," said Johnson, referring to Buehrle's 2010 Opening Day gem by which all other defensive plays were measured that season. "That sums him up right there, always thinking, always knowing exactly what's going on."

The outing already was notable in that Buehrle set the franchise record with his eighth Opening Day start. He tossed 7 1/3 shutout innings, but it was that see-it-to-believe-it out that gave birth to the "Buehrle-Meter."
