The Yankees lost more than a chance to tie the score Saturday night when Mark Teixeira was wrongly called out at first base for the final out of a one-run loss.

There is a chance they will be without the switch-hitting first baseman for the rest of the regular season.

"That would be the worst, worst-case scenario,'' Teixeira said of being done for the rest of the season. "Let's hope the MRI doesn't show a new injury.''

Playing for the first time in 10 games and informing the club the left calf was tight during the game, Teixeira re-injured the leg diving head first into the base on what turned into a game-ending double play with the potential tying run on third.
