"Starting running back Marion Barber has been banged up the past two seasons. He says he's 100 percent now and ready to show what he can do when he's healthy.
"It can be [frustrating being injured]," Barber said. "You've just got to be prepared and do whatever you do during the season and then the off-season, just work on some things, too."
Barber reported to training camp at 218, lighter than he played last season when he was listed at 222.
"Just eating better, and as you get older in the game, you realize that just taking care of your body," Barber said.
Barber has never had a 1,000-yard season. He has rushed for more than 900 yards in two of his five seasons, including last year when he had 932. He will again share carries with Felix Jones and Tashard Choice this season, and Jones is expected to have a bigger role in the offense, though Barber will start."
