"While Jason Garrett treats questions about possible game strategy as if they are threats to national security, running back Marion Barber is not so careful.
Garrett, the Dallas Cowboys' interim head coach, said Wednesday that he wanted to see where Barber is in his rehabilitation from a groin injury, and if he's ready to go against the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas Day.
Barber wasn't exactly expansive on the subject, but said that after missing three games, "I'm playing."
Barber has had problems running all season. He has gained only 313 yards on 102 carries for an average of 3.1 yards a carry, and with two games left is almost certain to have a career-low in rushing yards and yards per attempt.
His previous lows were 538 yards as a rookie in 2005 and 3.7 per carry in 2008."
