"Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis was one of the few players on the Jaguars roster who did not arrive at the facility on Tuesday for voluntary activities.

Lewis was still in Southern California as of Tuesday afternoon.

The Jaguars placed the franchise tag on Lewis in February but tried to negotiate a long-term deal even after that. The tight end has said he planned to stay in Los Angeles until his long-term deal is done, but also said it wasn't in him to hold out.

Early this afternoon, the Jaguars had yet to begin negotiations with Lewis' agent."
