Manhattan begins the month of February against Saint Peter's on Tuesday, February 4 at 7 p.m. with the first of its final four home games this season. The Jaspers have dropped consecutive games for the first time this season, falling in overtime 90-86 against Quinnipiac and on the road at Iona, 85-73, in a game that was much closer than the final score indicates.

HOME SWEET HOME
Manhattan has won five of its last six games at Draddy Gymnasium, all within the conference. The Jaspers have won nine of their last 11 MAAC games at Draddy Gymnasium, dating back to last season.

THE SERIES WITH SAINT PETER’S
In a series that dates back to the 1922-23 season, Manhattan leads the all-time series with Saint Peter’s, 71-48. The Jaspers have won the last five meetings with the Peacocks, including a 74-62 win on January 2.

LAST TIME VS. SAINT PETER’S
Manhattan led from start to finish to earn its seventh consecutive victory and its third straight to begin MAAC play in a 74-62 win at Saint Peter’s in a game that was moved up two hours due to an impending blizzard. Michael Alvarado scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half, including 9-of-12 from the foul line. George Beamon made all 14 of his free throws and finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds, his third double-double of the season and his ninth 20+ point scoring performance in Manhattan’s first 12 games.

JASPERS LOVE FEBRUARY
February was a good month for Manhattan during the 2012-13 season as the Jaspers look to recreate that positive momentum heading into March. Last season, the Jaspers went 5-2 during the month of February, beginning its run toward the MAAC title game.

MANHATTAN #10 IN MID-MAJOR POLL
In the latest Mid-Major Poll released by CollegeInsider.com on January 27, Manhattan was ranked at No. 10. The Jaspers have been ranked among the top 11 teams in the poll since the second week of the season. Manhattan has been ranked as high as fifth in the weekly poll.
