Manchester United signed Marouane Fellaini from Everton in a £27.5million deal after a troubling transfer deadline day for David Moyes.

There was no confirmation of the deal before the deadline of 11pm for Premier League clubs but a statement from the Toffees shortly after the closing of the summer transfer window confirmed the deal and the price Manchester United would be paying for the 25-year-old.

Fellaini was delighted with the move and revealed the opportunity to work with David Moyes again had been a major factor in his decision to make the switch.

"I am thrilled to sign for Manchester United. I have known the manager for many years now and I have a lot of respect for his way of working. When I was given the opportunity to work with him again I jumped at the chance" the Belgium international told the official Manchester United website.
