David Moyes wants to kick-start a summer of spending at Manchester United by signing full-back Seamus Coleman from Everton.

The Irishman was brought to the Premier League by Moyes in 2009 for a bargain £60,000 – and he’s since proven himself as one of the most consistent defenders around.

Coleman has continued that form this term, scoring seven goals in all competitions, and he’s now being lined up for a transfer to Old Trafford.

According to the Daily Mirror, United officials are in advanced talks with Everton over a deal to sign Coleman, after Moyes targeted him this week.
