"Center Evgeni Malkin and defenseman Sergei Gonchar of the Penguins have accepted invitations to play for Russia in the ongoing world championships in Germany.

Both represented their country at the Olympics in Vancouver this winter.

Gonchar is scheduled to head to Germany tonight, while Malkin is not expected to leave until Saturday."
