According to writer Marc Stein, the Orlando Magic have shown reluctance to trade seventh-year pro Arron Afflalo. Afflalo's All-Star-caliber season--he ranks 15th in the league in scoring, at 20.8 per game, and one metric rates him among the NBA's most efficient shooters--and team-friendly contract appear to have increased his trade value, but the Magic haven't shown signs of wanting to move him.

However, Stein says, "rival clubs" wonder if Orlando will maintain that stance with regard to its leading scorer and most productive player. The key question for Magic general manager Rob Hennigan, according to the ESPN scribe, is as follows: "Has Afflalo played well enough, in this breakout half-season, that the Magic will eventually be offered a first-round pick closer to the deadline that can pry Afflalo loose?
