"The Orlando Magic are close to fulfilling one of their biggest free-agency needs: bringing back shooting guard Jason Richardson.
Magic General Manager Otis Smith said Saturday night that he was close to finalizing a contract with Richardson.
"Jason and I close to terms," Smith said. "I would pretty much expect him in camp, if not tomorrow [Sunday], by Monday."
Smith has said all along that his top priority in free agency was re-signing Richardson, who came to the team in last December's blockbuster deal with the Phoenix Suns and then started 55 regular-season games.
Yahoo! Sports reported that Richardson has agreed to a four-year, $25 million deal."
