The Texans still don’t think left tackle Duane Brown is going to be ready to start the opener. But they do think he’ll be back before the first six weeks of the season.

Via John McClain and Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans are going to activate Brown from the physically unable to perform list. There were reports as recent as last week suggesting they might shelve him the first six weeks of the season by leaving him on PUP, but those proved inaccurate.
