Kevin Love was one assist shy of his first career triple-double as Minnesota beat a Portland team with the NBA's best record Wednesday night at Target Center.

Love finished with 29 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. Center Nikola Pekovic scored a season-high 30 points, and the Wolves outscored the Blazers 72-34 in the paint.

Portland got 17 third-quarter points from Damian Lillard and cut the Wolves' lead to 10 with less than four minutes left in the quarter. Lillard, who finished with 36 points, has 95 in his past three games.
