Recruiting really is heating up as TCU head coach Garry Patterson likes to say.

Over the past week, the Horned Frogs have flipped five different 2014 prospects. The latest is Longview safety Travin Howard, who switched from UTSA to TCU on Wednesday night.

Howard originally committed to UTSA in December, but TCU made a late push by getting him on campus for a visit last weekend and making an in-school visit on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder is a two-star prospect. This past season, he was named 12-5A Defensive MVP after notching 89 tackles and eight interceptions
