Dan Uggla at one point probably figured he would be a member of the Marlins' lineup that opened the new stadium. He got to man second base at Marlins Park for the first time Tuesday, but as a Brave, and it appeared the facility was to his liking.

The Marlins' all-time home run leader, Uggla hit two out for the Braves as part of a 4-for-5, five-RBI effort in an 11-0 romp. Starter Tim Hudson dismantled the Marlins, shutting them out on five singles. It was the 11th time in club history and first since a 13-0 loss to the Mets on April 2, 2008, that the Marlins were blanked while allowing 10 or more runs.

"Pitching dictates how the game is going to be, and our pitching wasn't there today," manager Ozzie Guillen said. "We left a lot of pitches up, and they were ready to swing."
