The French striker is currently on a season-long loan with the Magpies and is their top scorer with ten goals in 19 appearances.

But he has admitted he may be on the move again in the summer as he misses playing Champions League football with former club Marseille.

The 26-year-old forward was signed by the Hoops in January last year for £8million but was unable to score the goals to keep them in the Premier League.

He was loaned to Newcastle before the start of the current season but the Evening Chronicle report him dropping a New Year’s Eve bombshell.

When asked about his future, Remy said: ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know. At the moment I don’t know. The president of QPR may want to keep me next season.’

Rangers are in the mix for automatic promotion from the Championship and will want Remy’s experience if they make an immediate return to the top flight.
