Red-hot Raheem Sterling could be set for a loan move to Swansea once Liverpool land Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah.

Swans manager Michael Laudrup is keen on the England starlet, 19, who has scored three times in his last seven appearances.

League Cup holders Swansea are among a number of clubs to have indicated to the Reds that they are keen on a loan deal for winger Sterling while talks over a potential five-year, £8million deal for Salah have been taking place.

Kop boss Brendan Rodgers has always been minded to sanction a loan move for Sterling once an experienced replacement was brought in - and the 19-year-old was linked with Swansea back in November.

The speedster could now go to Rodgers’ previous club, where a similar emphasis is placed on the style of football which the Northern Irishman did so well with at the Liberty.
