Just when Liverpool fans thought they caught a break as Luis Suarez appeared to be settling back into life at Anfield the Mirror reports the Reds are resigned to losing their star in January. After a summer of battling to hold onto Suarez amid interest from Arsenal Liverpool expect to face another flurry of bids during the next transfer window and offers over the £50 million mark may be too good to resist. The report suggests Arsenal will return for another shot at Suarez but the 26-year-old would prefer a move to Real Madrid if Los Blancos come circling.

There has been much fuss over Andros Townsend since his sizzling debut for England on Friday. According to the Sun the 22-year-old is set for a mammoth pay rise -- of £30000-a-week -- to keep him happy at Tottenham. Townsend is contracted to Spurs until 2016 and it is believed Andre Villas-Boas would like to bring his wage up to par with the rest of his team in the hope of extending that.
