The left-hander already had been pulled from Saturday night's start against the Los Angeles Angels at Target Field. Anthony Swarzak started instead and pitched 7-1/3 no-hit innings before giving up a double to Peter Bourjos in the eighth.

Liriano said he has been feeling pain in the shoulder for at least 10 days, which covered his last start, a 3-2 loss May 22 at Arizona. He said he hopes to miss just the one start. "
