Ryan Braun wasn't surprised Monday to hear a trade rumor involving him and the San Francisco Giants.

"It seems regardless of which team we're playing, that's the team I'm getting traded to," said the Milwaukee Brewers leftfielder.

"We played the Angels and I was getting traded there. We played the Cubs and I was getting traded there. I'm assuming by this weekend I'll be getting traded to the Dodgers and not the Giants."

With the Giants missing outfielder Hunter Pence for a couple of months or so with a leg injury, it wasn't shocking to see a report that they touched base with the Brewers about Braun.

Of course, touching base and engaging in actual negotiations are different things, but Braun is sure to hear more rumors as the season moves toward the Aug. 1 trade deadline.

That's what happens when you're a veteran performing well offensively (.316, 11 homers, 36 RBI, .919 OPS) on a rebuilding team.
