"Nick Fairley's frustrating season turned sour again Sunday when the rookie defensive tackle re-aggravated his troublesome foot injury in the first half of the Lions' 31-17 loss to the Saints.
Playing in place of all-pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who served the first game of a two-game suspension for stomping Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith, Fairley had three tackles and his first career sack before limping off the field early in the second quarter.
Lions coach Jim Schwartz said X-rays on Fairley's foot were negative."
