The Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Jerome Samson to a one-year, two-way contract on Thursday.

Samson, 26, played in 68 games for the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League last season. He earned 27 goals with 56 points. A native of Greenfield Park, Quebec, he was second on St. John's in goals and third in points. He has played in 424 career AHL games with 160 goals and 336 points.
