"The first reviews of the work Friday by Magglio Ordonez were good ones.

"I didn't see it, but he got great reviews from the guys who were out there," Tigers manager Jim Leyland said. "It looked like he was driving the ball good. It did not look like - at this time - there were any issues. I guess tomorrow will be a little more of a test to see how he feels."

Ordonez went on the disabled list retroactive to May 11 due to right ankle weakness. He was eligible to come off the disabled list Thursday, but it appears that he will go through a rehabilitation assignment prior to returning to the active roster.

Ordonez has been rehabilitating the ankle in Florida but returned to Detroit and did some hitting Friday at Comerica Park."
