The Pirates have announced that they've reinstated Juan Nicasio from the restricted list and selected the contract of utilityman Adam Frazier. To make room for those players on the active and 40-man rosters, they've optioned Jacob Stallings back to Triple-A and designated Jorge Rondon and Cole Figueroa for assignment.

On the podcast last week, I identified Frazier as a player who might be able to help the Bucs. I'm not sure if he actually will, but he had a .401 OBP at Indianapolis while playing four positions (second, shortstop, left field and center field) and he's 24. There's no reason, at this point, for the Pirates not to find out what they have here.
