Leon Powe hopes for doctors' OK vs. Nuggets, while Mo Williams admits he's not quite ready

"Forward Leon Powe is raring to go, if the Cavaliers would just tell him so.

Powe, recovering from microfracture surgery on his left knee, took part in a full practice on Wednesday, but coach Mike Brown said neither Powe nor Mo Williams, out with a sprained left shoulder, has been cleared by the doctors to play in Thursday night's game against the Denver Nuggets at The Q.

Williams did not speak with reporters on Wednesday, but after practice he tweeted, "Didn't have a good practice today. A lil rusty. Gone take me a few days. Damn."

Powe, signed as a free agent last summer after spending three seasons with the Boston Celtics, did speak with reporters and pronounced himself ready.

"I was juiced to be out there with my teammates," said Powe, who will wear a brace on the knee. "I want to get out there. I feel good. I feel like I could play tomorrow. I've been feeling good for the last month. They were extra careful, which is fine. I understand that. I don't know if I can put a percentage on it, but I feel almost 100 percent."

Powe said he and his teammates were focused at practice, in spite off all the trade talk swirling around the team, culminating with Wednesday night's trade that sent Zydrunas Ilgauskas to Washington for Antawn Jamison.

"We've got a job to do," Powe said. "We're all competitors. We like to go out and play basketball and we came out here today and we did that. We practiced hard. We prepared for the game. Trade talk is trade talk. We have no say so in that. We've just got to go out here and do our jobs and that's to play basketball. We didn't say anything about it. We've got to win ball games no matter who's here." "
