"Titans running back LenDale White was deactivated for last Sunday's game against the Cardinals after being late for Saturday's walk-through.
It was the first time White had missed a game since his rookie season in 2006, but he hopes to be back in the mix - and in Coach Jeff Fisher's good graces - this Sunday against the Colts.
"I hope I can do whatever coach wants me to do. Whatever I need to do for the team I'll do,'' White said. "If that is being deactivated again, that's what it will be. If coach wants me to play, I'll play.''
White acknowledged he told the Titans he'd run out of gas when he showed up late for the walk-through.
Fisher said this week White "has been fine thus far'' and learned "it is important to follow club rules and be on time. … He has been on time thus far.''
White, who has 208 yards and two touchdowns this season, said he doesn't have a problem with Fisher.
"Jeff is the coach. Whatever the boss says, the boss gets,'' White said. "Things don't always happen the way you want to in life, regardless of whether your excuse is legit or not. Whatever happened, happened. Now I just want to do what I can to help this team. If they need be, I will be here.''"
