"Broncos running back LenDale White had surgery Tuesday to repair the Achilles tendon he injured last Thursday.

The surgery, performed by doctors at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic, went well, said Herman White, LenDale's uncle who helped raise LenDale here in Denver.

The team has already placed White on Injured Reserve, ending his season. White is planning on going through the rehab process at Dove Valley under the supervision of the Broncos' doctors and athletic trainers."
