"After the Ottawa Senators finished their morning skate Saturday in Montreal, goaltender Pascal Leclaire patiently went through a series of interviews in French for media outlets in his hometown.
Then, he was asked to more or less repeat himself for English-speaking audiences.
"It's OK, I have time," Leclaire said.
Welcome back to Leclaire's future. As the Senators have once again found a winning rhythm with Brian Elliott in goal, Leclaire finds himself in the same place as he was during his injury riddled 2009-10 season: waiting for any opportunity to get back in net.
It's deja vu all over again, as Elliott has taken advantage of opportunity to seize the top job after Leclaire was sidelined by a groin injury early in the season. Elliott has started the past 10 games, has been in net for all seven Senators victories, has allowed only a few bad goals along the way and has a respectable-goals against average of 2.89 and a decent save percentage of .907.
For what it's worth, Leclaire says he's happy with his work in practice since returning to the lineup early last week."
