"For the second time in as many weeks of this late-starting NBA season, Miami Heat forward LeBron James has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant took the Western Conference honor for games played Jan. 2 through Jan. 8.
James, who also won the conference honor for the season's first week, helped the Heat to a 3-1 week, leading the Heat in scoring each game. Over the four games, he averaged 31 points on .607 shooting, along with 9.3 assists, 7.3 rebounds and 1.33 steals.
Heat power forward Chris Bosh was among other nominees for the East honor."
