Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell was fined $24,309 by the NFL for his blindside block on Green Bay Packers defender Lenzy Pipkins, as noted by Tom Pelissero of NFL.com.

With the Vikings up 14-10 and looking to tack on some more points before the two clubs could head into the locker room, Minnesota was driving and primed to seep into Packers territory. After quarterback Case Keenum threw a short pass to running back Jerick McKinnon, Treadwell came back toward the line of scrimmage and laid a vicious blow to Pipkins. The hit drew a 15-yard penalty and the Vikings eventually stalled, but not before a miniature scuffle ensued between the Packers defense and Vikings offense following the Treadwell blow.

Though he’s still learning the ropes and adjusting to life in the pros, Treadwell is seeing more time this season after a disappointing rookie year. Lauded as potentially the top wide receiver in the 2016 NFL Draft, the No. 23-overall pick out of Ole Miss was limited to nine games and snagged only one pass for a rather underwhelming rookie season.
