"LaMarcus Aldridge is an All-Star.
The NBA announce today that Aldridge -- the Trail Blazers' sixth-year power forward -- has been voted onto the Western Conference team for the NBA All-Star Game by a ballot of the conference coaches.
Aldridge, 26, is the 15th player in the 42-year history of the Blazers to be picked to play in an All-Star Game. He is the first Portland player picked since his former teammate, Brandon Roy, was selected to the 2010 game as a reserve.
The All-Star Game will be played on Sunday, Feb. 26, in Orlando. Aldridge will join a West team that includes former Lake Oswego High School star Kevin Love of Minnesota, who was voted a reserve for the the second consecutive season."
