It was nearly 10:40 p.m. by the time Lamar Odom was ready to face about two dozen reporters gathered around his locker stall after the Mavericks' victory over Utah on Saturday.

Odom's voice cracked during his opening answer, after being asked how he was received by teammates upon his return from a 10-day absence. Odom addressed his teammates moments before the team left the locker room to play the game.

"It felt good to be back, playing basketball, doing what I'm so blessed to have done for so long," he said, after scoring nine points, pulling down five rebounds and adding three assists in 18 minutes. "I just told (teammates) to stick with me, and that at this point in time in my life I need them."
