Kendall Marshall, the UNC grad that just a few weeks ago was playing basketball for the Delaware 87ers, led the banged-up Los Angeles Lakers with 20 points and 15 assists in a huge win over the Utah Jazz Friday night.

Marshall, the 14th different player to start a game for the Lakers this season, signed a two-year, nonguaranteed contract that the Lakers need to decide on soon, but Friday’s outburst may have earned him a permanent spot. It remains to be seen whether his performance was impressive enough to get a follow from Kobe Bryant.
