"Running back LaDainian Tomlinson will have an MRI on his left leg Monday after suffering an injury late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
"My leg just got hit low and I fell on my leg," said Tomlinson, who had his leg wrapped tightly from thigh to calf in an Ace bandage after the game. He walked off the field on his own power and there was no noticeable limp as he walked in the locker room.
"I will go for more tests (Monday) because I really don't know what it is."
Tomlinson, 32, said he was not sure if he would be available Thursday when the Jets are in Denver to take on the Broncos.
"I won't speculate yet. I can't do it yet," Tomlinson said. "I'll just wait and see what happens."
Before he was injured, Tomlinson moved into the top five on the list of all-time scrimmage yards, surpassing former Lions great Barry Sanders for sole possession of fifth place on the NFL's all-time list. With 38 yards rushing and 22 receiving, Tomlinson has 18,206 scrimmage yards in his 10 years in the NFL. Sanders had 18,190 yards in his 10 seasons."
