"There's been a fair amount of talk this offseason about the Golden State Warriors trading Monta Ellis, a fella who averaged 24.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game last season.
Warriors CEO and majority owner Joe Lacob told the San Jose Mercury News, though, that the team is not trying to trade Ellis. "We really value him and we want him here," Lacob told the paper. "I think he's a tremendous player and a unique asset. And it would take a helluva deal that really made sense for the organization as a whole in order for us to trade Monta Ellis. We're not looking to do that.""
