The Knicks' season officially ended on Wednesday but it was doomed in early December when James Dolan vetoed a trade for Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry.

Dolan, the Chairman of Madison Square Garden, was reluctant to give up a first round pick to the Raptors especially since Toronto GM Masai Ujiri received a first round pick from the Knicks in exchange for Andrea Bargnani. Still, the decision changed the landscape in the Atlantic Division as Lowry enjoyed his best NBA season while leading Toronto to the division title and 48 wins.

Meanwhile, the Knicks missed out on the postseason for the first time in four seasons.
