The first thing that came to Kyle Drabek's mind after his first major-league win was to credit catcher Jose Molina with having a calming effect on him.

That's nothing unusual. Catchers have made mound visits to frustrated pitchers for years in a bid to forestall potential trouble.

But for Drabek on Saturday, the effect was not only calming, it was decisive in allowing the rookie right-hander to hang around for seven innings of impressive one-hit ball in a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Twins at the Rogers Centre.
