"One week after Chris Osgood retired, it appears another long-time Red Wings player will hang up his skates, as well. The Wings have scheduled a press conference for Tuesday at 11 a.m., at which time center Kris Draper is expected to announce his retirement.

General Manager Ken Holland and Draper will attend the press conference, which will take place at Joe Louis Arena.

Draper, 40, has been considering retirement this offseason. If he were to return, Draper likely would have to battle rookie Cory Emmerton for a spot on the team."
