"Ilya Kovalchuk will accompany the Devils on their flight to Boston this afternoon and head coach said he will "possibly" play against the Bruins Tuesday night.

"We'll see how he is tomorrow," DeBoer said after Kovalchuk took part in most of the team's practice today at Prudential Center. "He got through practice. We cut him a little short just (because) I didn't want to push the issue because he felt good. We'll skate him again tomorrow morning and see where he's at."

Kovalchuk has missed the last four games with a leg muscle pull (likely a groin)."
