"Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said he would consider starting Brent Lillibridge at first base against left-handed starting pitchers as long as Paul Konerko is coping with a left calf bruise.

But using Konerko as the designated hitter while he tries to heal has caused some late-inning issues such as the ninth inning of Monday's win at Baltimore. Lillibridge came off the bench to pinch-run for Konerko in the eighth inning but was used as a defensive replacement for Adam Dunn in the bottom of the ninth."
