The Suns will head to training camp this month with three additional players who could typify the D-League ideals of untapped potential, second chances and late-bloomers.

Overseas two-year pro Mike Moser, a former Arizona commit who had stops at three other colleges, and undrafted rookies Shaquille Harrison and Derrick Jones Jr. will join 15 contract players when Suns training camp opens Sept. 27 in Flagstaff. They likely will stay at higher in-state elevation for the inaugural season of the Northern Arizona Suns, Phoenix’s D-League affiliate in Prescott Valley.

The new trio will get a crack at making the Suns roster in the October preseason, although that will be difficult with 14 guaranteed Suns contracts and returning guard John Jenkins vying to be on an opening-night roster that can carry up to 15 players.
