Knicks to stick with Chris Duhon at point guard, keep Nate Robinson coming off bench

"Chris Duhon's toughness for the New York Knicks has impressed Mike D'Antoni, who plans to stick with his starting point guard.

Assuming Chris Duhon isn't hobbled by the sprained right ankle he suffered Friday night, don't expect a Knick shakeup at point guard anytime soon - even with Nate Robinson emerging as one of the team's most explosive threats.

Robinson came off the bench and finished as the leading scorer in the first two games of a three-game swing out West, posting 15 points against the Lakers and 25 against the Kings. His 11 points against the Nuggets on Friday trailed Duhon by one, even though Robinson played nearly half the time Duhon did (18:47 to 37:04).

It's a small sample to be sure, but one would think Robinson could be pressing Duhon for the starting job as the Knicks return to the Garden for tonight's game against the Magic, looking to rebound from an 0-3 road trip and four-game skid.

Over the past three games, Robinson has scored 51 points and had 12 assists in just over 80 minutes, while Duhon has recorded 23 and 14 in 91 minutes. But Robinson, who checked into Mike D'Antoni's doghouse just over a week ago when he launched a shot at the wrong basket just before halftime of the Nets game, isn't about to hear his name in pregame introductions."
