The Knicks have invited their 20th player to training camp in former St. John’s 6-7 small forward Justin Brownlee who has been on their summer-league team the past two seasons.

With Carmelo Anthony considered a power forward Metta World Peace is the lone true small forward on the roster and the Knicks needed the extra body in camp and for some preseason games considering swingman J.R. Smith is out rehabbing from knee surgery. Brownlee will sign a non-guaranteed deal and is not expected to have a shot at the 15th spot – with center Cole Aldrich entering as the lead candidate.
